Spirit Animal – Jaguar Strength

The Aztecs and Mayans regarded Jaguar as a symbol of strength and leadership since Jaguar is at the top of the food chain.  The royal families regarded Jaguar as sacred, and claimed that she walked the Royal Ones between the worlds of the living and the dead.  The Royal Ones would seek counsel from their dead Ancestors and needed protection to move between the worlds.  Shaman in South and Central America see Jaguar as the spirit of the jungle for it is she who controls the different species population.

Jaguar regularly gave advice to the Royal Ones.  Now, she has advice for you.

  • Jaguar does not exert herself unnecessarily.  She stalks her prey, and then goes ahead and ambushes the animal.  She tells you that you need to decide what your goal is, and do the required ground work, and then wait for the goal to be achieved.  Constantly redirecting your effort to the goal creates road blocks. By moving behind her prey, Jaguar links with the animal and creates a Oneness.  Do you have Oneness with those you work with, or socialize with?
  • Jaguar swims as much as possible – the water keeps her cool and provides easy exercise to keep her muscles toned for short runs and for climbing.  She says to you, get a better exercise program going.  Try swimming.  It will allow you to exercise without stress.  Warm water is the best for you will not get cramps.  The time in the water will sweep away toxins in your body.
  • Jaguar spends time in trees, both to hunt from a high vantage point, and to observe Nature, and the movements of animals and of humans.  By watching the way that the animals move through the jungle, and the times that they move, Jaguar changes her hunting habits in an intelligent way.  She asks whether you observe the flow of people and of energy around you.  Do you know what energy/people affect you?  Do you know who gets in your way?  How can you redirect your life to stay out of the path that is not comfortable and move onto a path that benefits you?
