Spirit Animal – Alligator Smile

When I was thinking about animals today, Alligator popped up.  Alligator says that it feels quite unloved, and that alligator handbags, belts, and shoes are really not that attractive because the skin gets changed so much.

I was still feeling surprise that an alligator came in to talk to me, so I asked it to slow down, and to tell me what its biggest issue was.  Here is what she had to say.

“We alligators have been on this planet for millions of years. Yet, we are treated as though we are interlopers.  Truly, we do not get any respect!  We take up very little space on the planet since we live only in the part that you call the United States and in China.  We live in the water, which is not arable land, and make our homes in the mud.

We serve a purpose to keep the waters clean as we eat all the dead animals near and in the water.  Yes, we get hungry and kill.  We only eat and kill when we are hungry.  We are not like Mankind who comes and kills our kind for sport.  We see too that Mankind kills their own for sport.  We wonder, who taught this to you?  Would it not be better to protect each other?  Many of us live in the same small space, and we do mostly get along.

Some of us like to live alone, and will move off into our own area of water.  This allows us more food for our young.  Some believe that Alligator is a loner.  Perhaps this is true.  What is true is that we help people learn the skill of survival.  We also help people to get to the root of emotional upset.  If you feel unsettled, call in Alligator to burrow down to the depths of that feeling.

Alligators are part of Nature’s cycle to help keep water in the ground in times of drought.  We dig deep into the shores and bottoms of rivers and lakes to keep good places to sleep when it is hot.  We  also give you a message that you must return to basics, and learn to survive with very little.  Now is not the time to have much overhead.

May all your meat be soft and move through your body slowly!”
